about us
Professional focus
Oakrey develops software and hardware for the testing of on-board systems and ECUs in automobiles, develops tools for bus analysis, measurement and control cards, and focuses on ways to implement End-to-End testing. In addition to the above core business, we offer general custom electronics, firmware and software development.
History
2016–2017 - One man show
Oakrey was founded in Brno in 2016. At that time, all the company’s activities revolved around HW development and PCB prototyping, specializing in vacuum technology. The whole company consisted of one crowded workbench and its one user. The main customer at that time was NenoVision.
2017-2018 - Halfway around the world
In 2017, the three current partners decided to team up and the company’s portfolio expanded to include software development and 3D printing. Soon after, one went to China for a year’s experience at Huaghianbay in Shenzhen to gain experience in the HAX Hardware Accelerator. During this period, the company was based in Brno on Orlí in a place that was not far from being a basement. At that time, our portfolio consisted of HW and SW for End-to-End testing in the automotive industry. Our customers were Entry Engineering and Škoda Auto.
2018–2019 - In bigger and better
For technical and capacity reasons, we moved to Pekařská Street in Brno and we tried to rebuild the premises into a dignified form. The team added a FW developer and the first non-technical employee. We were able to start working on the development of the test systems, uninterrupted by accounting and other administrative problems and tasks.
2019–2020 - In full swing and again in new
We moved to our current premises on Štursova Street in Brno in October 2019 and the team has grown by three more members. In addition to seating, new prototype workshops and laboratories have been added. Development has started to gain momentum and so has the scope of our activities. We started working on bus analysis and different types of simulations and emulations.
2020–2022 - Making it grow up
We tried what it is like to work on the TAČR grant within the Transport 2020+ project and we learned a lot of new things. Our strength is still the software and hardware for testing on-board systems and ECUs and bus analysis. We have a purchasing department and a graphic designer. Recently we are trying to brush up our processes so that we can get certifications for quality management and development.
