Use cases
Control, test and debug RS-232 devices
The device is suitable as an alternative to standard RS-232 converters. The device is designed for the Testera and uTestera software tools, where the device is uniquely identified by serial number instead of port number.
Simple applications requiring computer controlled relay switches
Our testing applications support control of the switching relays in COM Guru devices, allowing a simple switching element to be added to the system cost-effectively. Originally, the device was developed for integration into the uTestera test PC to switch power circuits during ECU unit testing.
Testing using scripts, recurring events, and automatic responses
The device delivery includes the Guru Terminal software. This is a standard UART terminal that additionally offers features such as sending periodic messages, supports macros, and simple automatic responses.
